Cognitive Improvement

Our aim is to maximize the cognitive benefits of chess. To achieve this long term goal we work with an international team of scientists and carry out rigorous studies. We are confident that we will reach our goal step by step

Grandmaster Hedinn Steingrimsson

There are indications that chess can improve cognitive abilities such as executive control and working memory which are both cognitive abilities that are considered critical for academic success.

Our goal is to contribute to providing solid foundations for cognitive improvement through chess training. We conduct resarch studies and work with an international team of University Professors in the fields of psychology, neuroscience and eye tracking. We see our platform as an opportunity for researchers to try out new methods that have the goal to maximize the cognitive benefits of chess training.

Steingrimsson has held presentations at international conferences both chess and also AI on the topics of eye tracking and cognitive improvement with chess.

We work with an international team of University Professors in the fields of psychology, neuroscience, AI and eye tracking. We see our software partly as a test and development platform for state of the art cognitive improvement via chess methods.
